Eva Fichtnerová
Eva Fichtnerová describes herself as a cosmopolitan. Since her youth, she has enjoyed traveling the world, exploring different regions, meeting people, and discovering historical landmarks, natural beauty, and local gastronomy. She is fascinated by uncovering the cultural differences of various nations. In her free time, alongside spending time with her family, gardening, and reading, she is mainly dedicated to traveling. For the past 10+ years, she has focused her professional efforts on projects and international relations; she worked as a project manager for the Operational Program Education for Competitiveness (OP VK) at the Regional Authority of the South Bohemian Region, and later at the Rector’s Office of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice as the institutional coordinator of the Erasmus+ program, representing the university abroad. The Euraxess project inspired her to conduct research and write scientific articles on the integration of foreign scientists and academics at universities in the Czech Republic, and in her role as the secretary of the Faculty of Economics at the University of South Bohemia, she was involved in financial management of projects. Loving challenges, she decided to support the initiative of a team of young creative people and joined them in the bid for České Budějovice to become the European Capital of Culture in 2028. Her vision is for České Budějovice to be a beloved and attractive cultural metropolis, with "permaculture" as a ubiquitous element and essential standard of life in South Bohemia.
