CZECH OPEN CALL – SOUTH SPECIFIC 2028

The South Specific festival is launching an open call for new site-specific and immersive projects in the fields of performing arts and new technologies. South Specific is a unique theater festival dedicated to immersive and site-specific projects, connecting performing arts with unconventional locations across the South Bohemian Region. For its second edition, taking place in 2028, the festival is seeking new immersive and/or site-specific projects by creators and teams from the Czech Republic, or projects developed in co-production with international partners (though this is not a requirement). The festival is part of the České Budějovice – European Capital of Culture 2028 program.

The Urban Field symposium opens a debate on the future of cities and landscapes.

We invite you to the Urban Field symposium, taking place on June 20 and 21, 2026. The event will be held both on the land we plan to cultivate collectively and in the auditorium of the Faculty of Science at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. You can look forward to debates, workshops, and lectures on urban agriculture, food self-sufficiency, and the relationship between the city and its surrounding landscape. Together with scientists and local residents, we will explore options for a shared economic model that we plan to implement right in the heart of the city. Come and get involved in shaping the Urban Field!

The third edition of the gathering connects art, female experience, and the landscape as a space for renewal, growth, and sharing.
