Sylvia Amann provides insights into the potential of European Capital of Culture initiatives to reach out to (new) audiences, visitors and guests based on a wide range of concrete examples and initiatives.

Biography: Sylvia AMANN is director of inforelais (Austria) - tailored services for culture and creative industries (policy) developments. The former chair of the EU creative industries expert group OMC is dedicated to innovative European policies for culture. Sylvia has a strong focus in urban and regional development guided by innovation and sustainability. She works as an expert for Agenda 21 Culture Pilot Cities Programme, assisted the Urban Lab of Europe, and was a panel member of the European Capital of Culture and UNESCO Creative Cities. Sylvia works globally based on her experiences in major EU and territorial initiatives and strategic policies.
