We Are Official Members of ECoC Family. What Does That Mean?
We are official members of the ECoC Family! So what does that mean?
The ECoC Family is a network of European Capital of Culture (ECoC) title holders. Every year this network organizes a joint conference. This year it is jointly hosted by the cities of Tartu in Estonia, Bad Ischl Salzkammergut in Austria and Bodø in Norway, which will be the European Capitals of Culture in 2024.
Being part of the ECoC Family gives us the opportunity to meet representatives of past (some from ECoC 2008 are here), current and future ECoCs. Together we can share experience and discuss the preparation and process of the journey to title. We talk about the programme, the involvement of volunteers and young people as well as dozens of other topics that we have in common. Who else should we take inspiration from but teams that have successfully completed their title year.
České Budějovice 2028 is currently the latest addition, and right at the start, the conference organizers were the first to welcome us.
We are very grateful to be a part of it.
