Young Creators Academy

Young Creators Academy is a program that shows you just how diverse the world of culture can be — whether you want to explore what culture really means or you have an idea for your own event and want guidance on how to make it happen.

The academy is designed for young people aged 15–22 from České Budějovice who want to create, explore, and try new things — even if you’re not yet sure where to start.

The program runs throughout the academic year (October–May) and is divided into two semesters. In the first semester, you’ll discover how culture works — meet inspiring people from the field, get a behind-the-scenes look at events, and participate in workshops and excursions. The second semester focuses on practice: with mentoring support, you’ll work in a team to develop your own project and learn how to bring it to life — and you may even receive funding for it!

The entire program is funded by the European Capital of Culture, so it’s completely free for participants.

Young Creators Academy is a space to experiment, ask questions, grow, and meet new people. It’s about exploration — of yourself, your skills, and your place in culture and society.

"You try, you learn, you grow, and you discover — both yourself and others."
