VOLUNTEERING
Become a volunteer and be part of one of the largest cultural projects in the Czech Republic! You’ll gain new experience, friends, contacts, and the chance to peek behind the scenes where everything is prepared. The volunteer team is essential — only thanks to your involvement can we organize dozens of programs for both residents and visitors to our region.
There are many ways to help:
- Support with organization during large festivals, smaller workshops, or preparing theatre performances.
- Assisting visitors at info points, or taking care of guests and performers.
In addition to training and further education, you’ll receive a volunteer certificate, our merch (T-shirts, bags, badges, stickers), refreshments, and free entry to selected events in the EHMK 2028 programme.

EVCN Meeting in Chemnitz: Inspiration for the Volunteer Community of Budějovice 2028!
At the beginning of October, representatives (the volunteer coordinator and two volunteers) from České Budějovice took part in an international meeting of the EVCN – European Volunteer Coordinators Network in Chemnitz, Germany, which is currently celebrating its title of European Capital of Culture 2025.
