CULTURAL PLANTATION BLATNÁ
Kulturní plantáž Blatná (Cultural Plantation Blatná) is a contributory organisation of the town of Blatná, which commenced its activities on 1 January 2012. It focuses on delivering projects in the field of live culture, with activities that have both a local character and a supra-regional and national reach.
The organisational structure of Kulturní plantáž is extensive and encompasses the key cultural and educational institutions in the town. These include the Blatná Municipal Museum, Blatná Municipal Library, Blatná Cinema and Theatre Hall, Blatná Community Centre of Active Life, Community Orchard, the Granary, and Blatná Tourist Information Centre.
The Plantation organises a rich variety of cultural and educational events. Notable projects include the ARTfestival Rose Exhibition, the František Simandl International Double Bass Competition, Jazz Day, the Blatná Photo Festival, and events such as Museum Night, Student Day, Suburban Camp for Seniors, Children's Day, International Monument Day, and International Dance Day. Kulturní plantáž Blatná thus represents a dynamic and creative centre for the development of cultural and social life in the town and the wider region.
