This year's Womenpedia workshop in Komařice invites women to discover their inner sources of strength, restore their personal landscapes, seek the boundaries between their inner and outer worlds, and explore their own roots. Now in its third year, the gathering intertwines art, the female experience, and the landscape as a space for renewal, growth, and sharing.
This arts-based experiential workshop will be led by artists Kateřina Dobroslava Drahošová and Adéla Zapletalová alongside Barbora Gábová from the AB Collective—pioneers of "edible art" whose work is rooted in local, seasonal produce and natural materials. Together, they will open a space for a sensitive perception of the landscape through drawing, natural structures, and a sensory exploration of seasonality, diverse flavors, and nature's bounty.
The theme of this year's meeting is the inner landscape—a place where even from a little, abundance, strength, and new growth can emerge. Participants can look forward to creative work, sharing, discovering natural resources, returning to their roots, and a mindful exploration of boundaries.
The workshop explores themes of the landscape as a source of inner strength, creativity through simplicity, cultivated wildness, deep resources, and the inherent value of the local.
We will get to know the landscape through drawing, textures, and details—such as bark as a symbolic boundary—opening up new ways of seeing the external environment of Komařice as well as our own internal imagery. We will also expand our perception toward the body as a living landscape and its processes. An essential part of the gathering will be the sensory discovery of seasonality and flavors, deepening our connection both to the place and to ourselves.
