We’re looking for YOU! Sign up for enter Summer School 2026 and experience a summer full of creativity, inspiration, and international encounters.

The Young Creators project under České Budějovice - ECoC 2028 has become a partner of the enter - Junge Kulturregion Chemnitz project, which engages young people in the cultural scene in Saxony, Germany.

We are offering 3 to 5 young people from České Budějovice and the surrounding area the opportunity to visit northern Europe—specifically Oulu, Finland, which will be the European Capital of Culture in 2026. From July 26 to August 2, 2026, young people from all over Europe will gather there to create together, share experiences, and discover new perspectives.

What can you expect?

  • Art workshops focused on the theme of humor
  • Meetings with young people from various European countries
  • A space for sharing, discussion, and new ideas
  • An inspiring summer in the unique setting of Northern Europe

Together, we will explore how humor works—as a tool for creativity and resilience, and as a way to reflect on and engage with society.

What will the summer school be about?

This year, Enter Summer School is operating under the motto “On Thin Ice: Reclaiming Humour in a Changing Cultural Climate.” It thus playfully references the fact that the summer school will take place above the Arctic Circle and, under the guidance of artists from various fields, will focus on humor as a creative means of self-expression.

Sounds fun?
