Troublemakers at the Kotva Cinema: screening and discussion with director Bibiana Beňová

On Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m., Biograf Kotva will screen three episodes of the documentary series Potížistky, produced by Czech Television. The screening will be followed by a discussion with director Bibiana Beňová.

The event is part of the Womenpedia project, which has long brought a female perspective to the cultural space of the region, mapping less visible chapters of history and creating a platform for sharing experiences and supporting women in culture.

The Troublemakers series portrays women and men who challenge stereotypes and raise questions about gender equality in Czech society over the past 150 years. The episodes screened focus on the relationship between career and motherhood, the position of women in art, and the role of men in the debate on feminism, while also commemorating the legacy of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk.
