Womenpedia opens up space for women in the culture of southern Bohemia
The Womenpedia project, which is part of the European Capital of Culture České Budějovice 2028, has long sought to create a safe and supportive platform for women working in culture and the arts.
We want to build an environment for female artists, creators, actors, and movers and shakers of cultural and social life in České Budějovice and the entire region. A space that will be based on open dialogue and will respond sensitively to your needs, wishes, and everyday experiences.
Our vision is a platform that helps strengthen the position of women in culture, supports their professional and personal development, and naturally connects the principles of solidarity, mutual support, and care. These values are key to Womenpedia. At the same time, we want to showcase the cultural wealth of our region through the stories and experiences of women.
Help us create a platform that really works
In order to prepare a meaningful and useful form for the entire initiative, we need to know about your lived experiences working in culture and the arts. We are interested in what you feel is missing, what would help you, and where you see room for support or change.
We have therefore prepared a short questionnaire that will help us identify the key areas we should focus on. The results of the survey will form the basis for the further development of the platform and follow-up joint dialogue.
Joint meeting on the results
We will present the results of the questionnaire publicly and open them up for discussion.
The meeting will take place on April 9, 2026, and will be another step toward creating a platform that is truly with you and for you.
