Ars Biologica Independent Studies (ABIS) Open Calls 2026

The Ars Biologica Independent Studies (ABIS) is an international educational program connecting students from across the arts and sciences to support practice-based inquiry into contemporary social, environmental, and technological conditions.
The ABIS programme is divided into several thematic modules, led by Czech and international tutors and taking place across various locations in the South Bohemian Region and beyond, as well as partially online.

Who is ABIS for?
We are open to artists, designers, researchers, scientists, and students interested in connecting art, science, and design within the context of permaculture. We welcome all those who wish to explore sustainable approaches, develop transdisciplinary collaboration, and seek creative responses to contemporary challenges.
Participation is free. For the Multispecies Research and Biointelligence: Codes of Life modules, free accommodation is also provided.
